Let\u2019s be honest\u2014most of us grew up associating school with routines, fixed answers, and standardised tests. But the world students are stepping into today is anything but<\/em> standard. It\u2019s unpredictable, driven by innovation, and constantly evolving. That\u2019s why creativity and innovation<\/em>\u2014once considered \u201cnice extras\u201d\u2014have become core survival skills. And NEP 2020 gets that.<\/p>\n

The policy places creativity and innovation right at the heart of 21st-century education, urging schools to rethink not just what<\/em> they teach, but how<\/em> they teach. Because truthfully, students can no longer afford to just memorize\u2014they need to imagine, design, and create.<\/p>\n

What Do Creativity and Innovation Really Look Like in Education?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Let\u2019s clear up a common myth: creativity isn\u2019t just for artists, and innovation isn\u2019t limited to tech geniuses.
\nCreativity in classrooms means students thinking in new ways, experimenting with ideas, asking “what if” questions, and learning that failure isn\u2019t the end\u2014it\u2019s part of the process. Innovation is about applying that creativity to solve real problems, build new things, or approach familiar topics from fresh angles.<\/p>\n

These aren\u2019t just abstract ideas. According to the World Economic Forum\u2019s list of Top 10 Skills of the Future<\/em>, creativity ranks consistently high\u2014and innovation follows close behind. So how can schools make sure students are equipped?<\/p>\n
