The Central Board of Secondary Education has officially announced the timetable for Classes 10 & 12 Board Exams 2024. Candidates nationwide who are appearing for the 2024 Board examination can check the comprehensive schedule that covers Exam Day, Date, Start and End time, and Subject Code.
The exam period covers approximately two months, from 15 February to 2 April 2024. For both classes 10 & 12, and all subjects, the start time of the exam is 10:30 a.m. IST, however, the end time varies depending upon the duration of the exam. The article covers the complete class 10 date sheet and timetable scheduled by CBSE for all three Streams: Humanities, Commerce, and Science.
As per the CBSE timeline, the exams for class 10 will commence from 15 Feb 2024, with the last exam being on 13 March 2024. For Class 12, however, the exams starting from 15 February 2024, will end on 2 April 2024.
For Class 10, the schedule starts with exams for Painting, Rai, Gurung, Tamang, and Sherpa. From 19 Feb to 14 March, the days are given for the conduction of language subjects. Students appearing for Sanskrit will have their exam on 19 February. Hindi course-A and B will take place on 21st February 2024. English (Communicative, Language & Literature) is slated on 26 Feb, 2024.
An adequate 3 days of revision gap is given to the students for the mathematics exam to be held on March 2024, falling after the social studies exam on 7 March 2024. The Class 10 final exam on 13 March 2024 is for subjects Computer Applications and Artificial Intelligence.

For Class 12, Sanyam Bhardwaj, Examination Controller, expressed, “While preparing the date sheet, the board has kept in mind that there is a sufficient gap between the two subjects. Dates of competitive exams like JEE have been kept in mind while deciding the schedule for Class 12.” He further added, “the date sheets have been prepared by avoiding more than 40,000 subject combinations to ensure that no two subject exams fall on the same date.”
Starting from 15 Feb 2024, class 12 students will be appearing for the Hindi exam on 19 Feb 2024, and the English language paper on 22 Feb 2024. Mathematics and Applied Mathematics will be held on 9 March 2024. Humanities students will have to be prepared for their Political Science on 22 March. The last exam scheduled for class 12 students is Computer Science, to take place on April 2, 2024.
