He never says anything that can make the intruder very angry. He wins the intruder’s confidence. He gets everything out of him. Then he makes up a clever story. The intruder is taken in by it. He gets locked in the cupboard. All this shows how intelligent Gerrard is. He is a stage artist. But in real life also, he proves a great actor.
